Levoit Core 200S replacement filter

The part you need

Core 200S-RF · ⚠️ DO NOT ORDER THIS ONE BY UPC. Levoit's page gives UPC 810043372893

Levoit's 3-stage cartridge for the Core 200S-P: a pre-filter for hair, dust and large particles, a main filter Levoit states removes "99.97% of ultrafine particles down to 0.3 μm", and a high-density activated carbon layer for gases and odours, bonded into one piece.

Levoit says: "It is recommended to replace filters for every 6-8 months", per Levoit's product page for this filter.

Does it fit your unit?

Fits these models

  • Levoit Core 200S-P — Levoit's wording is "Compatible for Core 200S-P only."

Does NOT fit — commonly confused

  • Levoit Core 400S and Core 400S-P — a larger machine with a larger cartridge. ⚠️ And this is the pair the shared UPC puts at risk: two different filters, two different product pages, the same barcode printed on both.
  • Levoit Core 300, Core 300S and Core Mini — all different cartridges again.
  • Levoit Vital 100 and Vital 100S — a different range entirely.

Levoit does not agree with itself here

⚠️ LEVOIT PRINTS THE SAME UPC ON TWO DIFFERENT FILTERS, AND THAT BREAKS THE ONE CHECK MOST BUYERS TRUST.

Checked twice on 14-sep-2026, with a query aimed at nothing but the identifiers: · the Core 200S-P filter page shows Model "Core 200S" and UPC 810043372893 · the Core 400S-P filter page shows Model "Core 400S" and UPC 810043372893

Same number, two cartridges, two machines that take physically different filters. A UPC exists to identify one product; when a manufacturer reuses one across two, scanning or searching the barcode cannot tell you which you are holding.

We do not know which of the two pages is wrong, and Levoit does not say. What we can tell you is what to do instead.

WHAT TO DO: order by the RF code and the model name — Core 200S-RF for this unit, and match it against the model printed on the rating plate of your own purifier. If a listing offers only a barcode to go on, that barcode is not enough on this range.

Variants Levoit sells

  • Core 200S-P 3-Stage Replacement Filter — the standard cartridge, sold singly.
  • Core 200S Replacement Filter 2-Pack — the same cartridge, two per box.
  • No media variants exist for this model. Unlike the Core 400S and the Vital 100S, Levoit does not sell smoke, toxin or pet formulations for the 200S.

Units we have researched that take this filter: Levoit Core 200S-P .

What each part number is

Core 200S-RF
the code to order by. Levoit prints it in the "What's Included" section of its own product page, which makes this one of the few Levoit filter pages that publishes an RF code at all.
⚠️ DO NOT ORDER THIS ONE BY UPC. Levoit's page gives UPC 810043372893
and publishes the SAME number on its Core 400S filter page. The two are different filters for different machines. A UPC is supposed to identify one product; here it does not, so on this range it cannot be used to tell two cartridges apart. Details below.

What the manufacturer documents

What is in the set

Levoit's 3-stage cartridge for the Core 200S-P: a pre-filter for hair, dust and large particles, a main filter Levoit states removes "99.97% of ultrafine particles down to 0.3 μm", and a high-density activated carbon layer for gases and odours, bonded into one piece.

No stage is described as washable on this page. That puts it with the Core Mini and against Levoit's own Vital 100S, where the pre-filter IS washable — same brand, three ranges, two different answers to the same maintenance question.

How often to change it

"It is recommended to replace filters for every 6-8 months", per Levoit's product page for this filter.

⚠️ That is a THIRD different window from the same manufacturer. Levoit states 6-12 months for the Vital 100S-P, 6-8 for the Vital 100, 6-8 here, nothing at all on the Core 400S and Core Mini pages, and its maintenance article gives 6-12 for particle stages and 3-6 for carbon. None of those figures carries an hours-per-day assumption, so none of them can be scaled to your own use or compared with another.

The practical reading: treat any Levoit interval as a reminder rather than a measurement, and watch airflow at a speed you actually use.

Genuine vs third-party filters

Levoit's published position on this range concerns its own counter rather than third-party performance: it says its filter life indicator and built-in algorithm work with its genuine filters. That is a statement about the indicator, not a measurement of how an aftermarket filter cleans air.

Levoit's general maintenance advice elsewhere is to gently vacuum its filters. This product page describes no washable stage, so that general guidance does not obviously apply here — and where a brand's general article and its product page disagree, the product page is the one about the thing in your hands.

That is Levoit’s stated position, reported as theirs. We have not tested third-party filters and make no claim about how well they work.

When something goes wrong

Symptom Why it happens What to do
Ordering by barcode and receiving a filter for a different machine. Levoit prints UPC 810043372893 on both the Core 200S and the Core 400S filter pages. The barcode cannot distinguish them. Order by the RF code — Core 200S-RF — and by the model name. Check the model on the rating plate of your unit first.
Assuming the Core 200S and Core 300 take the same cartridge. The names are adjacent and the machines look related. They are not the same part. Each Core model has its own cartridge. Match the number in the model name exactly, and the suffix with it.
Following an interval read on another Levoit page. Levoit publishes at least three different windows across its ranges, and omits one entirely on two pages. Use the figure from the page for YOUR cartridge — 6 to 8 months here — and treat it as a planning number rather than a measurement.

How we researched this

Checked against the manufacturer's own pages. We did not test this filter. Nothing here is a measurement of ours: every figure is either documented by the manufacturer or published by an independent standards or testing body, and where the two disagree this page says so.

Not verified for this model — 5 notes
  • THE SHARED UPC WAS CHECKED TWICE, DELIBERATELY. After noticing the collision we re-read both pages with a query asking for nothing except identifiers, so that the number could not have been carried across by accident. Both returned 810043372893. We report the collision; we do not know which page is in error, and Levoit does not say.
  • NO HOURS-PER-DAY ASSUMPTION is published behind the 6-8 month figure.
  • NO WASHABLE STAGE IS DESCRIBED on this page, which is not the same as a statement that no stage may be cleaned. Levoit's general advice elsewhere is to vacuum gently; the page for this product says nothing either way.
  • NO STANDALONE CORE 200S PURIFIER WITHOUT THE -P SUFFIX is listed as a separate product on this page, unlike the Core Mini and the Vital 100, where a non-suffixed sibling does exist. We therefore make no claim about one.
  • Levoit's statement about genuine filters concerns its life indicator and algorithm, not measured performance of third-party filters.
